Abstract
By using standard k-\( \varepsilon \) turbulence model and wall-function method, the new design scheme of air-conditioning system of the high-speed EMU was simulated numerically, and the calculation result was evaluated. The result showed that the velocity distribution of the air flow in the carriage was uniform, but the difference between the maximum and minimum temperature around passengers exceeded 3°C. In order to reduce the difference, the position of the guide plate in the main air channel was adjusted and the result of the temperature field was improved that the temperature difference was less than 1°C. The research result would be a helpful reference to the optimal design of air-conditioning system and the comfort of environment in the carriage.
