Abstract
Huge amount of information one meets nowadays in a lot of areas of human activity makes information aggregation an extremely important and challenging issue. This chapter presents aggregation operators, a formal tool for aggregation of numerical information. Main types and properties of those operators will be discussed. Moreover, we will show applications of aggregation operators in the Bellman-Zadeh model of decision making in a fuzzy environment.
