Zusammenfassung

Die Kubitalarthritis bei entzündlich rheumatischen Krankheiten unterscheidet sich in ihrer Symptomatik und in ihrem Verlauf gravierend von der posttraumatischen Kubitalarthrose. Steife und Instabilität, mono- und polyartikulärer Befall, Anforderungen an den Prothesengebrauch charakterisieren unter anderem die Breite des Symptomenspektrums. Daneben sind es die Knochen- und Muskelverluste, die die Tumorendoprothetik am Ellenbogen kennzeichnen.

Indikationsstellung, Operation und Nachbehandlung einer Ellenbogenprothese sind im Detail auf die Grundkrankheit und das Behandlungsziel abzustimmen.
