Zusammenfassung

Die aortokoronare Bypassoperation wurde in den Jahren 1967 und 1968 entwickelt, wobei die größte Pionierleistung Favaloro (1969) zugesprochen wird, auch wenn er nicht der Erste war, der eine solche Operation durchführte. Schon 1951 berichteten Vineberg u. Miller (1951) über eine Implantation der linken A. thoracica interna in das Myokard. Nachdem Sones (Sones u. Shirey 1962) 1958 die Möglichkeit der Koronarangiographie gezeigt hatte und damit Koronarstenosen exakt lokalisiert werden konnten, wurde die direkte Myokardrevaskularisation Wirklichkeit. Goetz anastomosierte 1960 eine rechte A. thoracica interna mit der rechten Koronararterie (RCA) mit Hilfe eines Tantalumrings (Goetz et al. 1961). 1964 wurde der erste genähte Venenbypass durch Garrett et al. (1973) in Houston vorgenommen und, weitgehend unerkannt, auch der erste Bypass mit einer Anastomose zwischen der A. thoracica interna und dem R. interventricularis anterior durch Kolesov (Kolesov u. Potashov 1965) in Leningrad angelegt.
