Abstract

User terminal transmitting power is an important indicator of the RDSS system design. Reducing the transmitting power can lower the transmitting signal exposure opportunities, but also reduce the size of the user terminal. However, reducing the user terminal transmitting power requires to reduce the counterpart inbound information rate, causing the growth of an inbound signal duration. Which increasing the probability of signal overlap within inbound signal frame duration, increased inbound signal multiple access interference. While the growth of an inbound signal duration causes higher demands of data processing capabilities in unit time for the RDSS central station. In a Poisson distribution hypothesis of the inbound signal, this paper analyses the impact of multiple access interference on the RDSS inbound capacity, and obtained the relationship between inbound capacity and the number of signal processing terminals. Simulation results show that as the information rate reduced to 1/8, the aggravation of the multiple access interference caused by the lower information rate will not lead to the RDSS inbound capacity reduction, on the contrary inbound capacity increased by 9 %, the cost is the user terminal numbers of the central station increase by 6.8 times.
