Abstract
Pre-marshalling at container terminals refers to re-organizing container stacks so that they are ready to be retrieved without further relocations. In a recent paper Lee and Chao considered this problem and provided some ideas to deal with it. Here we comment on some issues and provide an extended lower bound calculation for the problem.
