GIS-Based Urban Land Development Intensity Impact Factors Analysis

Abstract

Urban land development intensity (ULDI) is an important indicator to measure urban livability and sustainable development. Using Jönköping Municipality of Sweden as a case, Geostatistics were explored by integrating methods of GIS spatial and SPSS regression analysis to analyze the correlation between ULDI and driving factors. The results showed that the spatial distribution of all ULDI gradients could well be explained by the selected driving variables as indicated by the high Relative Operating Characteristics (ROC) test statistics (>0.7). The spatial distribution of land use gradient has shown a strong distance decline law and the characteristic of centripetal.
