Abstract
I arrived at Toronto, soon after completing my M.Sc. studies under the supervision of Prof. Ozer Igra, at Ben-Gurion University, on August 15, 1976. My plans were to pursue my studies towards a Ph.D. degree under the supervision of Professor Glass, about whom I heard a little bit from Prof. Ozer Igra, who completed his Ph.D. studies under the supervision of Prof. Glass, five years earlier, at 1971. From what I heard, Prof. Glass was undoubtedly the world leading scientist in the vast area of Non-Stationary Gas dynamics, in general, and Shock Wave Related Phenomena, in particular. Although I was told differently, I was expecting to meet a swollen full of self-importance person.
