Abstract

Nearly any social network application is based on the client-server paradigm. This has several serious drawback (data security, costs). This paper introduces the concept of Distributed Context Space which is a concept for loosely coupled (mobile) P2P semantic systems. Shark is a reference implementation of DCS and iSphere is a social network application based on Shark. This paper shows how Semantic Web approaches combined with P2P can substitute the C/S paradigm in Web 2.0.
