Abstract
In this paper, a wavelet based color image watermarking scheme is proposed which utilizes a specific version of gamma corrected YCbCr color space used in JPEG File Interchange Format (JFIF) to achieve maximum compatibility in cross platform JPEG file interchange and robustness against JPEG compression. To achieve both robustness and imperceptibility to the maximum possible extent, the watermark payload is divided into two parts. A smaller part with less embedding strength is embedded in Y (Luma) channel for good imperceptibility and robustness against compression attacks. The other larger part with higher embedding strength is embedded in Cr (Chroma) channel to achieve robustness against other types of attacks such as geometrical attacks and good imperceptibility. The proposed watermarking scheme utilizes spread spectrum technique. The performance results show that proposed scheme is more robust against a variety of attacks than other schemes available in literature.
