Abstract
In this paper, CORDIC based Givens Rotation QR Decomposition (QRD) for a 3GPP Long Term Evolution (LTE) receiver is proposed. The QRD block implemented with the use of CORDIC, eliminate the computation of Norm function. These CORDIC based blocks are compared with conventional blocks and found that the proposed design has an improvement in terms of area. This design has minimal hardware and computational complexity to meet the requirements of LTE standard.
