Abstract

With regard to the economics of the cloud in the context of SAP’s Business Suite applications and NetWeaver technical underpinnings, there is no single right answer for every customer or cloud hosting provider. Cloud computing affects and is just as greatly affected by a number of broad economic and legal factors.

While the economics of the cloud ultimately promise disruptive business agility at lower apples-to-apples costs in the short term, the converse may also be true. No two organizations are alike, however, necessitating a thoughtful economic analysis informed by legal and other realities.
