Abstract
This paper describes the e-learning model used in a course “Multimedia Systems,” given at the University of Rijeka, Croatia. The course was taught in a blended way, combining self-paced learning, f2f classroom learning, and online learning supported by the Moodle learning management system. The paper describes the technology for, and the methodological approach to, course design and development, as well as the results of evaluation. A survey conducted in the end of the course showed that students were satisfied with the new blended learning approach for the course. The quality of this course was also recognized by the e-learning experts: in the academic year 2010/2011 the “Multimedia systems” was chosen as the best e-course on the University being given the highest mark according to the four elements of a review.
