Learning Ultrasound Imaging

Abstract

The main problem with ultrasound as a diagnostic technique is the loss of acoustic signal and resolution while the distance to the structure studied increases. So, ultrasound achieves its highest performance in the study of superficial structures (when they contain no bone or air). In these structures, the so-called small parts, the ultrasound is the diagnostic procedure of choice.
