Learning Ultrasound Imaging

Abstract

The most traditional use of ultrasound, and the most popular also, has been the exploration of women and especially women of reproductive age. Childbearing-age women and the fetus share a special sensitivity to ionizing radiation and also a greater potential harm to the side effects produced by them. Therefore, imaging techniques that do not use ionizing radiation are the alternatives of choice in the study of childbearing-age women. Among these techniques, ultrasound is the most available.
