Zusammenfassung

Das HELLP-Syndrom stellt eine schwere Verlaufsform der Präeklampsie/Eklampsie dar. Die aktuelle Literatur beschreibt das HELLP-Syndrom als eine schwere Form der Präeklampsie mit Blutgerinnungsstörungen, obgleich in Vorträgen immer wieder auf die »Entität« HELLP-Syndrom hingewiesen wird, in dessen Verlauf es zu Blutdruckerhöhungen kommen kann.
