Zusammenfassung

Der Begriff »Sterilität« beschreibt das Unvermögen, schwanger zu werden, der Begriff »Infertilität« das Unvermögen, ein lebendes Kind zu gebären. Ferner wird in Abhängigkeit davon unterschieden, ob die Frau in der betroffenen Paarbeziehung bereits schwanger war (»sekundäre« Sterilität) oder noch nie konzipierte (»primäre« Sterilität).
