Abstract

This paper introduces the application of wireless sensor networks (WSNs) based on ZigBee to monitor the states of device in the workshop of chemical water treatment in power plant. For the sleep mechanism is adopted, the delay is introduced at the same time. To limit the delay in the permit range, the analysis of the delay is carried out with data collected from the practical system. And an appropriate work mode of wireless nodes is designed to satisfy the requirement of the process production and save the energy consumption.
