Als einführendes Beispiel betrachten wir den Term \( \frac{1}{n} \). Wir setzen für n nacheinander die natürlichen Zahlen 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ... ein. Wir erhalten eine Folge von Werten: \( 1, \frac{1}{2}, \frac{1}{3}, \frac{1}{4}, \frac{1}{5}, ... \) In der Abbildung unten sind diese Werte grafisch dargestellt.
