Zusammenfassung
Antipsychotika sind eine chemisch heterogene Gruppe von Pharmaka mit antipsychotischem Wirksamkeitsschwerpunkt und unterschiedlichem Nebenwirkungsprofil. Der häufig synonym verwendete Begriff »Neuroleptikum« ist historisch bedingt und wird international immer mehr durch den Begriff Antipsychotikum ersetzt. Dieser weist auf die klinisch bedeutsame therapeutische Wirkung bei psychotischen Störungen, insbesondere schizophrenen Psychosen, hin.
