Zusammenfassung
Verletzungen der Haut im Kindes- und Jugendalter sind sehr häufig: Schnittwunden, Platzwunden, Quetschwunden, Schürfwunden oder eingebrachte Fremdkörper erfordern in der Regel rasches und kompetentes chirurgisches Handeln. Im folgenden Kapitel wird detailliert auf diese unterschiedlichen Verletzungsmuster und deren Therapie eingegangen. Hierbei werden auch besondere Verletzungsformen wie Wunden im Gesicht und Bisswunden behandelt, primäre und sekundäre Windheilung, Komplikationen wie Phlegmonen, Abszesse, Nekrosen und die Indikationen zur Antibiotikatherapie erläutert bzw. diskutiert. Weiterhin werden Therapiealgorithmen zu den Gesichtspunkten Dringlichkeit, Wundreinigung, Infektionsprophylaxe und zu Methoden des Wundverschluss angeboten.
