Abstract
Bilingual teaching is one of the major moves of education reform under the background of economic globalization and China’s further reform and opening up. How to effectively carry out bilingual teaching reform in universities in the economically less developed central and western regions of scarce educational resources is of great strategy significance for Chinese teaching reform. This paper analyzes the status and issues of bilingual teaching in universities in central and western parts of China, points out five strategies and proposes the general thought for the development and reform of bilingual teaching.
