Abstract

This paper proposes a new simulation model for evaluating phased mission systems reliability. The model simulates the components’ process of failure within mission life depend upon a modularized a phased mission system model. With the Monte Carlo method together, the reliability of phased mission and mission phases can be analyzed. A hypothetical example phased mission system is given to demonstrate this simulation model and the result exhibits that the reliability conditions of system in the mission and each mission phase can be evaluated and controlled effectively by this simulation model.
