Periodicities Within the Frequency Spectra of δ Scuti Stars Observed by Kepler

Stellar Pulsations

Abstract

We showed in previous works that a periodic pattern could be found in the frequency set of δ Sct stars observed by CoRoT. We related that pattern with a value of the large separation. However, are these stars particular cases? We present here preliminary results of our work aimed at answering this and related questions. We looked for periodicities in the frequency spectrum of a sub-sample of 153 δ Sct pulsators observed by Kepler. We have determined that ∼ 50% of the sub-sample shows a clear pattern. Moreover, we found three objects with almost the same KIC physical parameters showing the same value of the pattern. We suggest that the pattern is a sign of a large-separation-like structure.
