Abstract

The general structure of the SPW—most especially the properties of closure, completeness and resolution, plus the three arguments just advanced (which merely draw out or highlight certain consequences of the scientific picture)—makes a strong case for generalized epiphenomenalism. It remains to consider if the doctrine has any significant consequences for our view of the world and our place in it.
