Abstract

Field information acquisition, information processing, management decision-making, intelligent control and other issues became the focus of research institutes at home and abroad, however, in the whole system, the research of farmland information management system is far behind the development of other supportive technologies, therefore, this article focuses on application of the GPS in farmland information management. This article introduces the principle of GPS positioning and techniques of positioning data acquisition, Followed by a discussion of application of the GPS technology in the farmland information collection, finally, have a precision test about GPS positioning in the farmland, test results show that the GPS system can be effectively applied to farmland information management.
