Abstract

SMI (Supply Management Inventory) is divided into two types : SMI based on passive supply inventory control and SMI based on active distribute inventory contro1. The traditional supply chains, passive supply—SMI and active distribute—SMI are modeled and simulated with System Dynamics tools. And some traditional constraints on Distribute Centers are loosened, such as unlimited capacity. And inventory management methods of Distribute Centers based on SMI are led into the model. After the simulation, in terms of these comparable data, the active distribute—SMI out performs the other two is concluded.
