Abstract

In recent years, SaaS has been widely used in web-based applications due to its special characteristics. It brought both users and software providers’ benefits and profits. It is significative if service providers can automatically convert existing web-based applications to SaaS paradigm (named as SaaSify). So an effective and automatically SaaSify approach is needed urgently. In this paper, we analyze and conclude the new challenges of SaaSifying web applications, design a series of SaaSified Command for introducing SaaS capabilities to existing web-based applications automatically; and propose SaaSified Command Set and rules to adapt the variety of both original and SaaSified applications. Finally, we describe a case study to show the effectiveness of proposed approach, the performance experiments prove that the proposed approach is effective and efficient.
