Abstract

Mixed scars are characterized by availability of several scar types in one patient or various zones within one scar. There are few in this group of scars. In the vast majority of cases, a mixed scar is a combination of hypertrophic and normotrophic or hypertrophic and atrophic scars. Such correlation is stipulated by either localization or deviation of the wound-healing process.
