Abstract
Collaborative information seeking (CIS) sits at a very interesting intersection of information seeking/retrieval, computer-supported cooperative work (CSCW), human–computer interaction (HCI), and social media/networking. Through an extensive review of a number of works, which included theories, models, and systems, we saw how one could understand, study, and develop for CIS. In this final chapter, we wrap up our discussion on this topic with a look to the future. There are several interesting questions remaining to be addressed in the field of CIS. This chapter highlights some of these questions, along with suggestions to extend the work reported here.
