Abstract

This paper uses dynamics analysis software AVL Excite Designer to build a simulation model of the connecting rod small end and proceed the calculations, with the connecting rod small end of a four-cylinder diesel engine as its researching object. Through the calculation and analysis of the oil film pressure between the piston pin and the connecting rod, we can find out the position’s weak spots of the lubrication under different rotate speeds. And then it can provide guidance to the design of the engine’s small head of the connecting rod and the correct using methods of the engine.
