Abstract
In this contribution are presented design alternatives of positioning device in the self storage system. This storage system is one of the main subsystems of intelligent manufacturing – assembly cell. Intelligent manufacturing - assembly cell is situated at the Institute of production systems and applied mechanics. Positioning device selection was dependent to parts, which are manufactured in the intelligent cell. Positioning devices were designed and fixed at palettes of shelf storage system. At the system are situated two main designed groups: positioning devices for one part, positioning devices for many parts. Both groups of positioning devices contain next alternatives of designed specific positioning devices. Following of comparison and designed analysis was selected in every group optimal positioning device.
