Abstract

Through a combination of detection technology and GPRS communication technology, rainfall stations and watershed hydrological stations in each observation point will be used as the system terminal. Those data collection terminals are composed of sensor unit and microcontroller system, mainly in charge of on-site water level, flow, and rainfall and other signal acquisition, software filtering, processing, storage and display. Real-time data collected will be stored, or transmitted through the RS232 and GPRS network to the data terminals, after post-processing by the central computer, provided to upper management. This system has been achieved a long-range, wide range of data transmission, and provided a scientific way for flood control decision.
