Abstract
Design of large networks of deployable mechanisms often involves simultaneously multiple considerations. This paper presents an expert system, the reasoning approach of which combines rule-based reasoning (RBR) and fuzzy comprehensive evaluation method, for generating all the available deployable candidates that satisfying the requirements specified a prior by the designers. The expert system can also automatically evaluate the performances of the generated mechanisms, which is the basis for the selection between all available candidates.
