Zusammenfassung
Die Hallux-valgus-Fehlstellung stellt mit einer Prävalenz von 2–4 der Bevölkerung die häufigste klinisch rele% vante Deformität im Bereich des Vorfußes dar. Überwiegend ist das weibliche Geschlecht betroffen, der Altersgipfel der behandelten Fälle liegt zwischen 50 und 70 Jahren (Coughlin u. Jones 2007b).
Es handelt sich um eine komplexe Fehlstellung des 1. Vorfußstrahles, die häufig mit weiteren Vorfuß- und Fußdeformitäten wie Pseudoexostose, Bursabildung, Spreizfuß, Metatarsus primus varus, Dezentrierung der Metatarsale-I-Köpfchen/Sesambeineinheit, Kleinzehendeformitäten, Schwielen- und Klavusbildungen sowie Pes plano valgus vergesellschaftet ist. Die Fehlstellung des 1. Strahles betrifft alle Ebenen des Raumes. In den klinisch relevanten mittleren und fortgeschrittenen Stadien steht die offensichtliche Fehlstellung in der Transversalebene, d.h. die Deviation des 1. Mittelfußstrahles nach medial und die Abweichung der Großzehe nach lateral im Vordergrund.
