Zusammenfassung
Starten wir jetzt unsere Tour durch die praktische Mathematik und beginnen damit, die zur Verfügung stehenden Programme näher kennenzulernen. Dabei wollen wir als Erstes einfache Rechenoperationen nutzen, ohne uns näher mit der eigentlichen Numerischen Mathematik zu befassen. Diese lernen wir erst später kennen – und hoffentlich auch schätzen. Wenn Ihnen unsere Tour durch die elementaren Rechenoperationen zu langwierig ist, können Sie ohne Probleme den einen oder anderen Abschnitt weglassen und auch bald mit dem „Programmieren“, das heißt der Erstellung von Script-Dateien, in Kapitel 2 beginnen. Die fortgelassenen Teile der Einführung lassen sich auch später noch nachholen.
