Study on Noun Phrase of “B+N” Structure in Search Engine Query Logs

Abstract

This paper focuses on studying the noun phrase of “B+N” structure, namely,“Distinguishingwords+Noun” Structure phrase that exists in search engine query logs.We extract the noun phrases from Sogou log corpus using the methods based on statistics and rules.According to the features of corpus , we carry out some work on analyzing the characteristics of elements , of which the noun phrase of “B+N”structure is consisted , and emphatically point out the primitive classifying function of the distinguishing words to noun,then we make a detailed analysis and discussion from three aspects:syntactic function,semantic features and phrase proofreading.Through the research on the noun phrase of “B+N”structure, this paper provides a theoretical basis for the construction of phrase dictionary which is used by search engine.
