Semantic Computation of Medical Image Annotation Based on Semantic Tree

Abstract

A tree model with latent semantic analysis (LSA-Tree) is presented for semantic processing of the medical image annotations. By introducing the semantic tree structure can be calculated in the semantic extraction process between words in the level of association; the introduction of latent semantic analysis to solve the "Synonymy" problem in the "multi-physicians samples" and to simplify the semantic computation of the tree model. Experiment through the programming of the proposed model of latent semantic analysis tree to process the annotations of medical image. And comparison with the keyword model and full text LSA in the running time and further with the Bag-of-Words model in the image information matching.
