Zusammenfassung
Die Behandlung psychischer Störungen mittels Psychotherapie hat sich in den beiden letzten Jahrzehnten kontinuierlich hin zu störungsorientierten, evidenzbasierten Verfahren entwickelt und zumindest im wissenschaftlichen Bereich das Denken in Psychotherapieschulen abgelöst. Diese neuen Entwicklungen werden anhand der störungszentrierten und evidenzbasierten psychotherapeutischen Behandlungsverfahren der Borderline-Persönlichkeitsstörung nachvollzogen und diskutiert. Aus den Erfahrungen in der Psychotherapieforschung zu Persönlichkeitsstörungen werden programmatische Empfehlungen zur zukünftigen Weiterentwicklung der Psychotherapieforschung und der Finanzierung von Psychotherapie gegeben.
