Abstract
In early 2011, the UCLH Charity under the chair of Lord Crispin supported UCLH with a major grant, allowing for an infrastructure to be build and for the purchase of the first fully integrated 3T PETMR in the UK. Managed by the Institute of Nuclear Medicine, the instrument will be able to start clinical work in time for the opening of the new MacMillan Cancer Center in April 2012. So the Charity continues to support major initiatives of UCLH Trust Hospitals, as it supported the Institute of Nuclear Medicine with the funding of the first PETCT scanner in the UK in 2002!
