Abstract
Radiochemistry is integral to tracer development, not only to enable labelling of putative tracers for early pre-clinical evaluation, but also to bridge efforts in medicinal chemistry, biological evaluation, tracer selection, method development, and tracer production for early human studies. INM has historically relied on access to experimental radiotracers through national and international collaborations, and it has been a long-term strategic goal for the Institute to establish its own radiochemistry group in order to stay at the forefront of nuclear imaging.
