Abstract
Through analysis of the power transmission lines detour lighting and direct lightning, we struck out that detour lightning is the main reason for the trip of 500kv extra high voltage network ,especially for those in the hilly country. According to the characteristics of detour lightning, we point out measures should be taken to prevent or reduce lightning. Installing lightning are effective measures to prevent detour lightning and we also give other suggestion.
