Zusammenfassung

Patienten mit schweren Somatisierungsstörungen bzw. echten organischen Erkrankungen und gleichzeitig bestehenden gravierenden psychosozialen Konflikten sind oft ungeliebte Kinder der psychosomatischen Medizin. Anders als manche Patienten mit primär psychischer Beschwerdesymptomatik, wie im klinischen Vordergrund stehender Angst oder Depression, verspricht diese Patientengruppe meist keine schnellen, eindrucksvollen Therapieerfolge. Stattdessen ist schon die Motivationsphase zur Aufnahme bzw. Akzeptanz einer psychotherapeutischen Behandlung nicht selten mühsam und von ständig fluktuierender Ambivalenz und der Abwehr bedrückender Gefühle geprägt.
