Abstract
In the university, how to train the ability of students in all aspects? This should be a subject that every teacher in the university proposes to himself. Because the university is a processing plant, the teacher is the factory worker and the student is the product. The quality of product reflects the overall quality of university teachers. Students in the university not only need to have knowledge of books, but they need the guidance of all aspects from their teachers in the teaching. What do we do to improve students’ abilities, such as language, communication, planning, management, teamwork, self-management, and etc? Thus, it is necessary for teachers to provide opportunities to students to train their abilities. The teachers provide a stage for students to learn more book knowledge as well as to get more information from outside as long as teachers have teaching design consciously and have more responsibility to students in their teaching, so that the overall quality of students in the university will be a very big improvement. This paper, combined with the course <Engineering Surveying> taught by the author, introduced examples of using design experimental teaching method to improve students’ abilities of all aspects, explained significance of students capacity building based on experimental design.
