Abstract
Associative information, e.g., associated documents, associated keywords, freelinks, and categories are potential sources for divergent thinking support. This paper compares four divergent thinking support engines using associative information extracted from Wikipedia. The first two engines adopt the association search engine GETA , and the last two engines find associations by using document structure. Their quality is compared by experiments with both quantitative and qualitative evaluations, using Eureka! interface, which was inspired by “Hasso-Tobi 2” divergent thinking support groupware.
