Abstract

In the first half of 2010 the LHC had its first proton–proton collisions at \(\sqrt{s}= 7\,\hbox{TeV},\) which allows the LHC experiments to start investigating a kinematic regime that has never been explored before; the multi TeV range is expected to reveal both Standard Model phenomena and new physics discoveries.
