Unternehmen sind bei der Betrachtung des Innovationscontrolling wegen ihrer Markt- und Technologieorientierung häufig von zentraler Bedeutung. Sie werden hier exemplarisch dargestellt. Damit kann eine sinngemäße Übertragung auf andere Organisationstypen erfolgen.

Dieses Kapitel bezieht sich sowohl auf KES-Innovationsarbeit als auch auf planmäßiges Arbeiten im Innovationsprozess. Es wird daher zwischen KES-Innovationsarbeit und planmäßiger Innovationsarbeit unterschieden.
