Abstract
With more and more concerned of the 3D geographic information system, the 3D application system receives quick support from the application units because it is more realistic than the 2D in the visual. The author has taken the geological topographic maps and high resolution images in Dongyao Village, Wutai County as the basic data, generated the 3D topographic map on Dongyao Village area, by editing the vector data, doing some remote sensing image geometric correction, generating DEM, and doing a series of spatial analysis on this 3D landscape. This paper describes the main methods and processes that making the 3D terrain visualization and realizing roam by using ERDAS IMAGINE and ARCGIS software.
