Abstract
The purpose of this study is to explore the influence of creative thinking instruction implemented in the engineering education “mold production practice” curriculum on the creativity of vocational high school students. Of the selected objects, 37 in the experimental group and 33 in the control group underwent experimental teaching for a period of twelve weeks.
In regards to data processing, “the “Torrance Tests of Creative Thinking” was adopted as the quantitative evaluation instrument. The data obtained then underwent statistical processing using one-way Analysis of Covariance, ANCOVA and t-test. In addition, with the researcher’s self- compiled “creative learning worksheets,” “student interview outline,” and “student learning feedback questionnaire survey” as the quantitative data, the effectiveness of the study implementation has been found. The research results indicate that:1. the experimental teaching can enhance the students’ performance in creative thinking; 2. The students were fascinated by the creative instruction activities.
