Abstract
In order to reduce the energy consumption to make the AODV route protocol possible to be used in underwater network, this paper enhances the function of its “hello” message. It optimizes the route by adding some information of active line to the “hello” message. Besides the nodes in the active line, some other nodes which meet certain condition will also send “hello” message in order to optimize some non-optimal route. The result shows that the given theory can meet the exception, and is helpful for improving the performance of AODV.
